Saakhashvily asks Sargsyan to mediate in relations with Moscow.

Georgian President Michael Saakashvili has asked his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan to meditate in the issue of Tbilisi’s normalization of relations with Moscow, the leader of Georgia’s Labour Party Shalva Natelashvili has said, Novosti Armenia reported.

Natelashvili said the two presidents had discussed the issue during Sargsyan’s recent visit to Batumi.

Russia has said it will not reopen a dialogue with Georgia while Saakashvili is in power. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin recently reiterated Moscow’s stance.
