Uzbek storytellers to come to festival in Bashkortostan
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRepresentatives of Uzbekistan will take part in the All-Russian children's and youth competition-festival of storytellers, which will be held from June 16 to 17 in Bashkortostan, the press service of the Republic's Ministry of Culture reports.
The project involves 35 young storytellers from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Stavropol Territories, Tatarstan and Yakutia. In total, the competition received more than 100 applications from 12 cities and regions of the Russian Federation and CIS countries.
The young participants' age varies from 5 to 25 years. In total, two nominations will be presented: from 5 to 12 years and from 13 to 25 years. The contestants will compete in the art of performing the following types of oral folk art: epics, mughams, kyuis. The competition's final will take place in the Burzyansky district. The winners will be awarded valuable prizes and diplomas.
