Kabardino-Balkaria to increase budget deficit

Kabardino-Balkaria has introduced adjustments to the budget, changing
the deficit from 1.2 to 1.5 billion rubles, RIA Novosti reports.

The republic approved the budget in December 2010. Income in 2011 is
expected to amount to 20.285 billion rubles, with expenditure standing
at 21.554 billion. The deficit was expected to amount to 1.269 billion
rubles.

1.251 billion rubles from the federal budget were provided, the
republic's finance minister Azret Bishenov said.

He clarified that budget support came for modernization of education
(over 198 million rubles), modernization of healthcare (477 million
rubles), support for patients with cardiovascular problems (203
million rubles) and support for employment (155 million rubles).

The new budget project will have an income of 21.567 billion rubles,
expenditure of 23.062 billion rubles, with a deficit of 1.495 billion
rubles.
