Turkiye hopes for progress in wheat issue

Turkiye is counting on progress on the issue of Ukrainian grain, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said.

 “Turkey continues to adhere to its role of intermediary by maintaining contacts with the parties. Millions of tons of grain are waiting in Ukrainian ports. We are meeting with representatives from Russia, Ukraine and the UN. Through quadrilateral meetings, we are facilitating the transportation of grain and other products to correctly specified addresses. We expect some progress in this regard in the coming days," A Haber TV channel quotes the Turkish minister as saying.
