Putin expresses condolences on death of Angola’s ex-president

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to the current President of Angola, João Lourenço, on the death of the former head of state Jose Eduardo dos Santos.

"Dear Mr Lourenço, please accept our deepest condolences on the death of the former President of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos," the Kremlin's telegram reads.

José Eduardo dos Santos died on July 8 at a clinic in Barcelona. Angola has declared five-day mourning. Dos Santos graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry.
