Pavilion "Azerbaijan" awarded Gold Sign of VDNKh

The decision to award the badge was made by the jury of the Award Committee. According to the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, on Saturday, July 9, a solemn award ceremony was held in the pavilion Kazakhstan.
The director of Azerbaijani pavilion at VDNKh Saadat Kadyrova said that the pavilion was awarded for the preservation of historical heritage, as well as for holding numerous events aimed at familiarizing residents and guests of Moscow with the history and traditions of Azerbaijan.
"Of course, this is a very pleasant award, because it is historical: it was awarded in Soviet times. Now the management of VDNKh has resumed it", she said.
Saadat Kadyrova further drew attention to the fact that after the restoration, carried out with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's support, the "Azerbaijan" pavilion has become a real gem of VDNKh. “From all over Moscow people come here to take a memorable photo, learn more about our history and culture, try our sweets. We are doing our best to ensure that the site, and which is the largest in Russia representing Azerbaijan today, adequately represents our republic", the pavilion's director said.
She also expressed confidence that the pavilion "Azerbaijan" will take its rightful place not only within the framework of VDNKh, but also within the entire Russian capital.
