Minor earthquake hits north of Azerbaijan

On Saturday, July 23, an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 occurred in the Azerbaijani city of Zagatala in the north of the country, the message of the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan reads.

Tremors were recorded at 12:09 local time (11:09 Moscow time) 30 kilometres from the border with Georgia.

The earthquake centre lay at a depth of 6 km.
