Yerevan mayor defends increase in metro fares

The mayor of Yerevan, Karen Karapetian, has touched upon several controversial on his Facebook page one of them being the increase in price of metro tickets.

Karapetian stated that the reason for the increase in prices is a loan commitment made previously by the government. The increase in prices is necessary in order not to lose the metro, Tert.am reports.
