Georgia registers deflation
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGeorgia registered deflation of 4% in June, Business Georgia reports.
Deflation came from price changes for food and non-alcoholic drinks,
which dropped 8.9%. This category saw monthly inflation of minus
4.13%.
The prices for fruits and grapes dropped by 28.6%, vegetables by 26.2%
and sugar and confectionery by 5.7%. Healthcare prices rose by 2.1%.
Overall inflation for this category was 0.16%. Prices for dentistry
increased by 7.5% and the hospitality industry by 3.3%.
