Nord Stream idle due to oil leak at only turbine

Gazprom specialists failed to launch the Nord Stream gas pipeline after a three-day shutdown for scheduled maintenance. According to the message of Gazprom and the data of gas transport operators, the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine is expected to be at the level of previous days.

Nord Stream, which was previously stopped for three days for scheduled maintenance, cannot resume operation due to an oil leak at the only running Trent 60 unit, the company explained, RIA Novosti reports.
