Outbound tourism for Russians limited to five countries

This summer, an acute shortage of air travel was especially noticeable in outbound tourism. Russian travellers were left with only five mass destinations, ATOR reports.

The volume of organized outbound tourism this summer is still lagging behind the levels for the same period in 2021. According to preliminary estimates, about 3.5 mln Russians went on vacation abroad, RIA Novosti reports.

Turkey is the leader among all foreign destinations. Abkhazia is in second place. Then follow the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and the Maldives.
