Twelve of the sixteen federal states of Germany have no places left for refugees from Ukraine, the RND news portal reports, citing a representative of the German Ministry of the Interior.

"Several federal states have expressed concern that they will soon reach the limit of their capabilities, including because there is an increase in the number of refugees on the Balkan route," the newspaper notes, RIA Novosti reports.

"Currently, twelve out of sixteen federal states have set up a blocking of the initial distribution system" of refugees, although the large federal states of Germany still continue to receive people at the present time”, a spokesperson for the agency said.
