Budapest: Europe has only Turkish Stream left
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaToday, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated that the only reliable source of Russian gas in Europe today is the Turkish Stream, leading from Turkey to Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia.
"It is very important to talk about our results sometimes, because if we - Serbs, Hungarians, Bulgarians and Turks - were not brave enough and would not stand under the threats of sanctions that we received from some of our friends, and would not build the Turkish Stream" , we would have big problems now", Szijjártó drew attention while visiting Serbia.
"Now the "Turkish Stream", which delivers gas from Russia to Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary, is the only reliable gas pipeline", RIA Novosti quotes him.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister reminded that other Russian gas pipelines stopped completely or temporarily. "And the "Turkish Stream" is completely reliable. So I think that we have achieved great success, because we were brave enough in our decision to build this gas pipeline," the head of Hungarian diplomacy said.
In addition to this, he drew attention to the fact that the worst consequences for Hungary would come if the country had stopped receiving Russian gas.
