Azeri plane downed by Taliban

Taliban representative Zabinulla Modjahid has informed Afghan media that the movement was responsible for the crash of an Azeri cargo plane.

Nine crew members were aboard the IL-76 4K-AZ 55 cargo plane of the Azeri cargo air line Silk Way, which crashed last night in Afghanistan.

According to the Air Traffic Service of Afghanistan's information, at 00:10 a.m. near Bagram airport the Silk Way plane became lost ground communication and disappeared from radars, Trend reports.

As there was no information from the crew on an emergency situation on board, it seemed that the plane had crashed into some unknown object.

A special investigative group was established.

A representative of the Afghan national air line Ariana stated that the site of the crash has not yet been located. The policy and army are searching for it.
