Russia and Uzbekistan signed declaration on strategic partnership

Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Samarkand on Thursday.

Following the talks, both presidents signed a declaration on comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The SCO summit is being held in Samarkand on September 15-16.
