Kyrgyz Foreign Minister discusses conflict with Tajikistan with US Secretary of State

Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met in New York the day before. This was reported in the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry's press service.

The main topic of the meeting was the border conflict between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

During the conversation, Kulubaev spoke about the events that took place on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. In turn, Blinken expressed deep concern over the situation on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. He also stated the importance of achieving peace and stability through diplomatic efforts, RIA Novosti reports.

In addition to this, the parties discussed the strengthening of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the USA both within the framework of the bilateral agenda and at regional platforms, including Central Asia + the United States.
