Georgia and UAE discuss free trade agreement
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGeorgia and the UAE have started the first round of negotiations on a free trade agreement.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Gennady Arveladze is the head of the government group of Georgia at the talks.
"Georgia will benefit from the free trade regime with the Emirates on the basis of the comprehensive economic partnership agreement with the UAE. It means that an additional 10 million market with high purchasing power will be opened for Georgia and local producers", the deputy minister said.
He stressed that the comprehensive economic partnership agreement would potentially deal with trade in goods, customs administration and trade facilitation, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, technical barriers to trade, investment, trade in services, digital trade and a number of other issues, Sputnik Georgia reports.
