Death toll in Turkish mine rises

An explosion at a mine in the Turkish province of Bartin killed 40 people, Turkish Foreign Minister Suleyman Soylu informed.

"Unfortunately, the death toll has risen to 40," RIA Novosti quotes the minister as saying.

Earlier it was reported that 28 people died as a result of the mine explosion.
