Explosions in Turkmenistan cause numerous deaths

The death toll in the bomb explosions in the Turkmen cities of Abadan
and Gunesh is close to two hundred, Interfax reports, referring to the
information of human rights defenders.

"According to people who collected the data, about a hundred people
are military, others are civilians, including children," human rights
website "Chronicles of Turkmenistan" said.

"We also learned that the authorities have been instructed to detain
everyone making recordings with mobile phones, cameras and camcorders.
Several detentions have been reported ," the statement reads.
