Blast at Cyprus naval base

At least 8 people died in a blast at a naval base in Southern Cyprus,
Reuters reports.

Earlier reports said that the blast had occurred at the base of the
National Guards of Cyprus, Evangelos Florakis, near the village of
Zigi near Limasol. About a hundred boxes of gunpowder went off, RIA
Novosti reports.
