Pentagon: NATO needs peace with Russia

NATO is not looking for a conflict with Russia and will not be drawn into a conflict in Ukraine, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said.

"Ladies and gentlemen, NATO is a defensive alliance and it does not seek confrontation with Russia. It does not pose a threat to Russia. Make no mistake: we will not be drawn into this conflict", the US defense chief said, speaking at a conference in Canada.
