Morocco defeats Belgium 2-0 at FIFA World Cup

Morocco beat 2-0 Belgium in a group stage match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha on Sunday.

The goals were scored by Abdelhamid Sabiri (73rd minute) and Zakaria Aboukhalal (90+2). Hakim Ziyech’s goal for Morocco was cancelled as he was offside.

It was Morocco’s first win at World Cup tournaments since 1998. Now, with four points earned, Morocco tops Group F. Belgium is second with three points. Next are Croatia (1 point) and Canada (0 points).

Croatia will take on Canada later on Sunday.

Morocco will face Canada on December 1, and Belgium will play against Croatia also on December 1.
