1 million rubles to be paid per family to victims of Bulgaria catastrophe

The Russian authorities will pay 1 million rubles to every family of the victims of the catastrophe of the Bulgaria cruise ship, which sank in the Volga River on July 10th, Prime Minister Putin said,  RIA Novosti reported.

According to Putin, material support to victims’ families will be provided by the Tatarstan authorities.

The Prime Minister expressed his grief to the victims’ families. “It is a great tragedy. Dozens of people died, including children. The government of Russia is deeply sorry for the loss,” he said.

At the moment there are 88 victims of the tragedy.19 of them are children.
