EU commissioner meets Turkish opposition leader

Opposition leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu met EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele today. During a press meeting Fuele said the commission was pleased that the CHP deputies had taken their oaths in Parliament, Hurryet Daily News reports.

An end to Turkey’s parliamentary oath crisis is very welcome, EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele said on Wednesday during his visit to Ankara, adding that the country needs a new constitution  reflecting European values.
