Istanbul hosts fourth session of contact group for Libya

Turkey recognizes the National transitional Government of Libya as a
legitimate representative of the country, Turkish Foreign Minister
Ahmet Davutoglu said at the fourth session of the contact group for
Libya, RIA Novosti reports.


Istanbul plans to support settlement of the conflict and use the road
map for the purpose. Turkey will provide humanitarian aid to Libyan
people.


The contact group consists of 40 states, UN officials, representatives
of the League of Arab States and the African Union. Former sessions
were held in Doha (Qatar), Rome (Italy) and Abu-Dhabi (UAE).


The Turkish minister underlined territorial unity of Libya and
expressed support to opposition. He believes that the opposition needs
financial support for the Ramadan holiday.


Turkey speaks for reconstruction of infrastructure and stop of
violence. Istanbul expects the conflict to stop on August 1.


OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said urged the sides of
conflict to stop bloodshed during the Ramazan. He published the
message on Twitter.
