Baku hosts talks between delegations of country's ruling party and European Parliament

The deputy chairman and executive secretary of the "Yeni Azerbaijan"
party, Ali Akhmedov, received a delegation of the European Parliament
today, Trend reports, referring to the press service of the party.

The participants in the meeting discussed the current state of
cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan and its prospects.

A member of the European Parliament from Portugal, Ferreira José
Manuel Fernandes, noted that Azerbaijan is recognized in the world as
a modern and tolerant country and as an important country for the EU
in terms of geopolitical and strategic perspectives. Describing
Azerbaijan as a dynamically developing country, the Portuguese deputy
said that he supports a just settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict by peaceful means.
