UK has imposed a veto on a single headquarters for EU forces, RIA
Novosti
reports.

UK Secretary of State William Hague said that building a single
headquarters would be an expensive duplicate of NATO.

Establishment of a single center for EU forces was initiated by
Catherine Ashton, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security
Policy. Her report was published prior to the meeting of 27 foreign
ministers of the EU.

Most EU members support the initiative, especially France, which has
supported construction of the center in Brussels since 2007. This
would include special international groups with 1,500 troops in each.
