Number of daily COVID cases in Russia increasing

As many as 1,766 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, down 9.4% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients increased in 37 regions, while in 40 regions the figure decreased. The situation remained unchanged in eight regions. A day earlier, 1,950 people were rushed to hospitals.
Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 2,788 over the past day versus 3,413 cases a day earlier, reaching 3,424,558, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,215 over the past day versus 1,130 a day earlier, reaching 1,880,484.
Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 13,937 over the past day, reaching 21,645,346. A day earlier some 16,557 patients recovered.
Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 39 over the past day, reaching 396,176. A day earlier 37 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
