Clash reported between Iranian and Afghan border guards

A clash took place between the Taliban (the movement outlawed in Russia) and Iranian border guards at the Milak border of Hirmand city, located in the north of Sistan and Baluchistan province.

An informed source said that there were no casualties in the clash that erupted between the Iranian and the Taliban border guards around the Milak bridge.

The source stated that the conflict is over and the exact cause of the incident is under investigation, adding that additional information will be announced soon.

Last week, an Iranian border guard was released by the Taliban after being detained on the Afghanistan-Iran border. There were also several clashes along the Afghanistan-Iran border last year.
