Putin and Mirziyoyev discuss trade, economic cooperation

Russian President Vladimir Putin has held phone talks with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Kremlin press serice said.

The leaders discussed "a whole number of issues of further development of Russian-Uzbek strategic partnership and alliance, including those that relate to the implementation of promising projects in the trade and economic area," the statement said.

Putin and Mirziyoyev had previously spoken by phone in mid-February. The agenda then was the expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Moscow and Tashkent.
