Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will resume a new round of talks on Tehran's nuclear program in seven to ten days, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said.

The first round of negotiations had taken place late last week in Tehran. When asked about the follow-up during a meeting of the IAEA board of governors, Grossi said they will take place on a week or 10 days.

Grossi had met with Mohammad Eslami, Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), on an official visit to Iran.

The IAEA chief described Iran's decision to allow the IAEA to proceed with inspections as "very important," as "it would allow the agency to begin to establish a new baseline necessary in the event of a resumption of Iran’s implementation of its nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)."
