Lavrov and Abdollahian hold phone talks

"A range of issues on the bilateral agenda has been discussed. The parties noted strengthening of the positive course in development of the Russian-Iranian multi-aspect cooperation. The satisfaction of achieved record high trade turnover figures was expressed, despite illegitimate unilateral sanctions against our countries," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The sides confirmed the mindset for close coordination before in-person meetings during the conversation.
"The two foreign ministers exchanged views on current regional and international topics. The sides reiterated their interest in continuing close coordination, including as part of upcoming offline contacts between the two ministers," the ministry said.
According to the ministry, Sergey Lavrov and and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian hailed "the positive dynamics of the development of Russian-Iranian comprehensive cooperation." "The ministers expressed satisfaction with the record-breaking trade indices achieved in spite of the illegitimate unilateral sanctions against our countries," the statement reads.
