Infantino re-elected as FIFA president
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGianni Infantino was re-elected on for another term of four years as the president of the world’s governing body of football, FIFA, the federation’s press office said in a statement.
Infantino was running unopposed and he was elected unanimously at the 2023 FIFA Congress in the Rwandan capital of Kigali.
"Gianni Infantino will serve a second term as FIFA President after being re-elected unopposed to lead global football’s governing body for another four years, during the 73rd FIFA Congress in Kigali, Rwanda," the statement from FIFA’s press office reads.
Infantino, who turns 53 on March 23, was elected the president of the world’s governing body in February 2016 at the FIFA Extraordinary Congress in Paris. In June 2019, he was re-elected for another four-year presidential term.
