Russian national football team earns first win in six months

Russia has beaten Iraq 2-0 in a friendly match played at St. Petersburg’s Gazprom-Arena on March 26.

The goals were scored by Anton Miranchuk (in the 50th minute) and Sergey Pinyayev (in the 58th minute).

It was the first win since Russia won 2-1 away in Kyrgyzstan last September.

The friendly match between Russia and Iran on March 23 ended a 1-1 draw, both teams scored their goal on a penalty kick.
