Sales of Iranian cars to start in Russian car dealerships in early summer
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIn early summer, sales of cars from the Iranian automaker Saipa will start in Russia. The first batch, 1,000 cars of the Quik, Saina and Shahin models, will be imported into the country through parallel imports, Best Motors CEO Alexander Stepanov said.
Sales are scheduled to start on June 1st. The cost of new products will range from 1 million to 1.7 million rubles - from the cheapest to the most expensive model, Stepanov added, speaking about prices, RIA Novosti reported.
At the same time, Iranian cars will be also certified in the Russian Federation, issuing Vehicle Type Approval for them. They will also be serviced in Russia under warranty. So far, the contract with Saipa has been concluded for three years. Only in the current 2023 it is planned to sell about 10 thousand cars of the brand in Russia.
In the future, the management of the concern is considering the possibility of localizing its production in St. Petersburg.
