South Caucasus is important in terms of security and stability in the
OSCE space, OSCE Director General Zannier told Trend.

Zannier said that Azerbaijan and Armenia support internal reforms. The
OSCE is helping Georgia with water supplies.

The director general said that the OSCE still supports the solving of
long-standing conflicts with the help of the Minsk Group, chaired by
Russia, France and the USA, and the Geneva talks, chaired by the OSCE,
EU and UN.

Zannier said that their work is based on mandates of 56 states.
Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia contribute to security, prosperity and
democracy in the OSCE as well.

Zannier visited Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia as the director of the
Center for Conflict Prevention of the OSCE.

The new Special Representative of the OSCE PA for the South Caucasus,
Zhoao Soaresh, said that long-standing conflicts are the most topical
issues. He believes that the OSCE Minsk Group and the OSCE can
facilitate agreement. The OSCE MG cannot pick a side. Armenia and
Azerbaijan must reach agreement themselves.
