Counterterrorism measures being taken in Ingushetia

Counterterrorism measures have been introduced in Ingushetia’s Malgobek district, the republic’s operations headquarters said on Monday.

"With the aim of preventing terrorist attacks and terrorism-related crimes, chief of the Federal Security Service’s Ingushetia Directorate Major General Kechkin L.N. has made a decision to conduct a counter-terrorist operation in Ingushetia’s Malgobek district from 8:00 p.m. on April 3, 2023," it said.

The Federal Security Service’s Ingushetia Directorate said earlier that five local residents had been put on the wanted list on suspicion of plotting terrorist crimes.
