Türkiye, Sweden to discuss joining NATO in early June

A meeting between representatives of Türkiye and Sweden on Stockholm's accession to NATO will be held in early June, a spokesman for the Turkish leader informed.
Ibrahim Kalin explained that the course of fulfillment by Sweden of its obligations was discussed in Ankara last week.
According to Kalin, the trilateral meeting in the Türkiye-Sweden-Finland format will take place in early June, as a new anti-terrorism law comes into force in Sweden this summer. Thus, it will be easier for Stockholm to fulfill its obligations to join the alliance.
The Turkish politician stressed that the actions of the Swedish side and their efficiency depend only on the country itself.
