Nurtleu refers to Russia as reliable ally of Kazakhstan
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRelations between Russia and Kazakhstan are steadily developing in the spirit of strategic partnership, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu said at a press conference following talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
According to him, Russia is Kazakhstan’s key ally and economic partner in the Eurasian region.
"The results of the talks have shown that our relations are steadily developing in the spirit of good neighborliness, friendship and strategic partnership," he said.
According to the top diplomat, the development and maintenance of a high level of bilateral interaction is primarily facilitated by close, trusting and traditionally friendly relations between the leaders of the two states. Last year alone, the two presidents held eight meetings at different venues, as well as 20 telephone conversations.
"All in all, last year, which was marked by the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, was characterized by positive dynamics on the whole range of bilateral cooperation," Nurtleu pointed out.
