Foreign Ministers of Türkiye, Austria discuss situation in Caucasus

A meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Türkiye and Austria took place in Vienna. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Alexander Shallenberg discussed the situations in Ukraine, Syria and latest developments in the South Caucasus.

According to a message posted in one of the social networks by the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, today, the negotiations between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye and Austria took place in Vienna.

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Alexander Shallenberg discussed the situations in Ukraine, Syria, and the South Caucasus.

During the conversation, the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry thanked his colleague for the assistance Austria provided to the republic after the devastating February earthquakes that claimed the lives of over 50,000 people.

According to the message of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the Turkish minister said that Ankara and Vienna will continue to cooperate in the economy, trade, and culture.

It is expected that during his visit to Austria, the Turkish minister will also meet with OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmidt and IAEA Head Rafael Grossi.
