Head of counter-extremism center attacked in Makhachkala

Colonel Ahmed Bataliyev, head of the counter-extremism center of the
Dagestani Interior Ministry, has been attacked this morning in
Makhachkala, two of his guards died, ITAR-TASS reports.

A taxi approached the colonel on Aziz Aliyev Street. They opened fire.
Bataliyev was saved by his armour and the two guards that died. The
police are trying to intercept the assailants.
