Azerbaijanis assess relations with Iran

According to the data of the Center for Social Research of Azerbaijan, the majority of Azerbaijani residents believe that Iran protects the interests of Armenia (76.8%). At the same time, 29.7% of respondents expressed confidence that when building bilateral relations, historical ties and neighborhood factors should be taken into account.

In addition to this, 61% of the survey participants said that they had a positive attitude towards the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel, since "Israel is a reliable partner of Azerbaijan".

The Azerbaijan Republic conducted a survey among the Azerbaijani population regarding Iranian-Azerbaijani relations:

According to 5.5% of respondents, Iran takes a neutral position in relation to Armenia and Azerbaijan, while 3.4% of respondents are sure that Iran defends the interests of Azerbaijan.

In addition to this, the respondents also shared their views on armed conflicts in the past month. The majority (64.8%) believes that this is interference and provocation of foreign countries, 13.3% of respondents are sure that these incidents has a socio-economic factor.
