The conflict over the legal revolution is "the most serious internal crisis since the creation of Israel,” President Isaac Herzog said, noting that despite the tense situation, he is not going to resign.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog said that after supporting the legal overhaul promoted by the coalition of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he heard repeated calls to resign, but is not going to follow them as he "enjoys the trust of the population."
“I enjoy great confidence from all segments of the population. I was given various recommendations, including this one. I rejected it, as it didn't seem right to me at all,"
- he said.
Nevertheless, Herzog noted that the conflict over the legal revolution is "the most serious internal crisis since the creation of Israel."
