The Russian Defense Ministry said that Chechen conscripts have not
gone for service, there has been no allotment from Moscow, RBC
reports.

Over 7,000 Chechens passed medical examination but were not put
forward for military service. Servicemen from other republics are
operating. A source from the ministry said that it would be wrong to
"train one's own enemies, people one may later fight against".

The source said that many Chechens are relatives of terrorists.
Checking their loyalty is impossible, it takes too much time and is
used by the special services. The decision to avoid Chechens had come
from the General Staff, he said.
