Armenia to start modernization of border posts in autumn

October 2011, Armenian Secretary of the National Council Artur
Bagdasaryan said at the 10th session of the inter-departmental
commission for cooperation between Armenian state structures and
European ones, News Armenia reports.
The European Union will provide 7.7 million euros for modernization of
border posts at Bagratashen, Bavra and Gogavan.
Bagdasaryan said that they will implement the "single-stop system".
Modernization of the border posts is part of the EU cooperation
program for 2009-2011. A program for 2012-2014 will be developed in
the future.
The program for complex management of state borders in the South
Caucasus is aimed at implementation of complex management of the
borders of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
