Ship with 200 passengers on board sinks in Turkey

A ship, carrying about 200 people, sank today in the Turkish city of Izmir on the Aegean coast. No one was injured, the police and city administration informed the local media, RIA Novosti reports.

Shortly after leaving the port, the ship crashed into a sea lantern, received a hole in the bow and began to gain water. The ship immediately returned back to the port.

None of the passengers was injured during collision or evacuation, NTV reports.
