Armenia welcomes world chess champions

An official welcoming ceremony for the national chess team of Armenia, which won the the World Chess Championship, will be held today in Yerevan.

The champions will be welcomed by President Sargsyan, who is chairman of the Chess Federation of Armenia.

It was the first time that the national chess team of Armenia had won the gold medal in team classification. The Armenian team, headed by Arshak Petrosyan, didn't lose a game in the tournament.
