Investment projects in Georgia to be implemented

investment projects in the Guri region, Georgian Premier Nikolay
Gilauri said at a Cabinet session in Ozurgeti, the regional center of
Guria, The Georgian Times reports.
According to Gilauri, 19 million lari ($10.6 mil) will be allotted to
repair works and the reconstruction of roads. 8.5 million lari ($4.8
mil) will be allotted for one of the priority projects - the
improvement of water supplies to Guri.
Works on developing gas supplies to the region continue. According to
the Minister of Energy Alexander Khetaguri, the work is being done by
the Georgian-Azerbaijani company 'Socar Energy Georgia'.
2.4 million lari ($1.6 mil) will be spent on a village aid program and
400 thousand ($225 000) on school repairs.
