President Medvedev holds awards ceremony

Present-day Russian society is a consolidated force, capable of coping with tricky tasks, President Dmitry Medvedev said during an awards ceremony in the Kremlin Palace on Thursday, The Voice of Russia reports.

Russian people were always ready to unite in times of trouble for the sake of the future of their motherland, President Medvedev added.

He called for more joint efforts to be made in order combat “the difficulties of present-day life” in Russia.

During today's ceremony the most prominent Russian political, military, scientific and cultural figures received state awards.
