Libyan rebel commander Abdel Fattah Yunis was killed early on Friday,
RIA Novosti reports.

Reuters reported earlier that Yunis had been called off the frontline
near Marsa Brega for questioning at Benghazi. His house was surrounded
by the rebel forces.

Former Security Minister of Muammar Gaddafi, Abdel Fattah Yunis,
joined the rebels in February and became leader of the opposition
movement. He represented the rebels at the meeting in Rome in early
July.
